Description

In "Contained Drift," the astronaut is in a resting, almost weightless position. The figure drifts but is simultaneously held, protected, and restricted all at once. The surrounding form can be perceived as a capsule, a cocoon, an inner room, or an invisible boundary. The astronaut's relaxed posture is in tension with the closed visor and the alien environment. The Earth/floor remains a distant sign of belonging, while the worn surfaces and fragmented layers suggest time, memory, and traces of something that once was cohesive. The artwork revolves around states where people seemingly stand still but are internally in motion. It explores the difference between being safely enclosed and being trapped in stagnation; how a pause can be both a necessary protection and at the same time a limitation that must eventually be broken. Collage and mixed media created with recycled paper, color, and materials that create texture. Glossy/matte finish. Price excluding shipping. Shipping calculated based on destination. Avhämtning in Odense is possible.
